Mountain Retreat is one of Mt. Crested Butte's most iconic and well-loved rentals for a reason- sprawling yet cozy, private, yet just footsteps from the base area, amenity-rich, fun, and comfortable, the perfect home base for your family and friends. Walking distance from the lifts, restaurants, shops, spa, rentals, and more at the base area of Mount Crested Butte.

With five bedrooms, a sleeping loft and five bathrooms, this three story log house has comfortable sleeping arrangements for 15 people. Plenty of parking in the 2 car garage and driveway, and an easy 5 minute walk to the base area. This home is also footsteps away from the free shuttle to the base area, where you can connect another free shuttle to Historic Downtown Crested Butte, where you will find great shopping, restaurants, a movie theater, and plenty to do and see.

Whether you prefer to ski our expert slopes or cruise the blue runs, enjoy a snowmobile tour or sleigh ride dinner, or just sit by the fire and read a good book, this elegant and comfortable mountain home is sure to renew your spirit and revitalize your body.

Watch the skiers and boarders on the slopes of Mount Crested Butte through the 40 foot high, two story wall of windows in the great room, and and sip a warm drink surrounded by family and friends. The sprawling great room and kitchen area provide endless space and opportunity for the whole gang to be together, even if everyone has a diffferent idea of relaxation- cozy couches for watching movies, reading books, playing board games, or soaking in the Elk Mountain Range splendor from the comfort of home. Enjoy a game of pool by the fireplace, play cards and do puzzles in the dining area, or a soak in the hot tub just outside the great room on the private deck with more amazing views, and a gas grill. Create culinary masterpieces in in the well-stocked kitchen- or order pizza and put your feet up, with the wide open floor plan and high ceilings, it's possible to be together without being on top of one another in the generous kitchen, living, and dining areas.

***** Early check ins and or late check out requests may be granted on a per booking basis and may be subject to additional fees at the time of booking. Last minute requests cannot be granted due to pre established cleaning and maintenance schedules. Guests who occupy any part of the property including the driveway prematurely without preauthorisation from the home owner or property manager will be subject to a $250 fine. Guests will also be asked to vacate the property and return at check in time. Guests who check out after 10am  without preauthorisation will be asked to vacate immediately and will be subject to a $ 250 fine.
**** Crested Butte is a resort town, please note that when the Crested Butte Mountain Resort shuts down for the Spring shoulder Season, and again in the Fall, many of the shops, restaurants, and local businesses close down or operate under limited schedules. Refunds will not be granted to guests due to closure of any businesses in Crested Butte for any reason, as these events are out of our control. ****Cancellations: Please familiarize yourself with our posted cancellation policy. Please note that due to Crested Butte’s limited rental seasons, no exceptions will be made to the cancellation policy under any circumstances. We strongly recommend purchasing some form of travel insurance if you feel you may need to cancel or alter your booking outside of the posted cancellation policy window.
**** The US Postal service does not deliver to households in Crested Butte, should you require items shipped to your property during your stay, we recommend using UPS or FedEx, and insuring these items. Watchdog is not responsible in any way for any items you choose to have shipped to any of our properties, and will not forward or store any shipped items that may arrive early or late, this is your responsibility, thank you for your understanding. If you have shipping needs for legitimate medical reasons, please contact the Watchdog Office for assistance.
